Thunder team accepted to Pennsbury Showcase

The Thunder team is proud to announce that they have been accepted in the 2008 Pennsbury Invitational College Showcase in Yardley, PA. The Thunder was one of the 64 teams selected out 135 applicants. As a first year entry to the tournament the Thunder will play at the Newtown Rock Complex. With over 250 college coaches normally in attendance, this is a great opportunity for the Thunder sophomores and juniors to get more college exposure.

Casey Ferrell Signs Letter of Intent to Shepherd University

Senior Casey Ferrell has recently signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at Division II Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV. Casey is a utility player who can play any position on the field. Casey will graduate from Millbrook High School in Winchester, VA in May. Congratulations Casey!

Thunder Wins 2008 Charm City Classic!!!

The Thunder 18U went 5-1-2 as they defeated the MVSA Storm to win their first tournament of the year. Check the Results section for details.

Shari Beavers Leads Fort Hill to MD Class 1A State Championship!!!

Thunder pitcher/shortstop/outfielder Shari Beavers not only helped the Thunder become tournament champions at the Charm City Classic on Memorial Day weekend but also lead her high school team to a 9-4 win over Colonial Richardson and a MD Class 1A State Championship. Shari was the #1 pitcher for Fort Hill all season. During the championship game Shari was 3-3 with a single, double and triple. A homerun was sure to come if the opposing pitcher hadn't chosen to intentionally walk her.

Showing her committment to the Thunder team, shortly after celebrating with Fort Hill, Shari changed uniforms and drove across town to join the Thunder in their last game of the day.

Casey Ferrell Names District Player of the Year

Senior Casey Ferrell was recently selected as the District Player of the Year after helping lead her Millbrook High School team into the playoffs. Casey is a senior who plays outfield and shortstop for the Pioneers. Great job Casey!!!
